Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Never come back to TT - Comment: I don't see any much better on this Premier than normal Tax cut version that I did use on several year, they will charge you with 'premium' price if you need more than one state(the second one you must pay 35 dollars more to down load etc..-not free up to five state as I expect at premium price) I will back to Tax cut next year and never look back to Intuit producd. Customer Rating: Summary: Officially hate all things Intuit Comment: I purchased TT Premier for several reasons; one being the "easy" handling of schedule D transactions. Let me tell you--after importing from the financial institutions it's total BS. Additionally, I am going through and discovering it's YET ANOTHER $39 for an additional state download. Unfortunately I file in two states. Overall the product seems to be dumbed down to the point it's confusing. I really wish there was a better option than this garbage. I also don't like how it's constantly trying to upsell me--don't even get me started with Quicken. That product has turned into an abomination as well. So long Intuit. I won't be back. Customer Rating: Summary: TurboTax Deceptive Advertising Comment: TurboTax Premiere is pure "bait and switch" software, the name Premier is deceptive, it makes it sound like it is better than "basic"...it isn't. TurboTax Premiere does not containg the essential "Schedule C" IRS form required for deducting business expenses. You don't know this until you are almost done filling out all the complex information, only then TurboTax will force you to pay an extra $10 fee to complete your taxes. Also, it is not that easy to follow instructions if you are a beginner you will undoubtedly get completely confused by the interface. There is no chance you will get your taxes done properly with this program. I don't think they will give you a refund if you fail to file your taxes and , get this, you can not use this software next year. It is an incredible rip-off. You are better off paying a Tax Preparer if you have a business of any kind. Customer Rating: Summary: "They charged me more, Bad Marketing Strategy" Comment: I am not happy with this purchase. As it says at the top of the page and the way it is a marketed is wrong. They charged me $69.XX and after i am done with my taxes the software allowed me to do free federal efile and changed me an extra $19.95 + tax for filing state efile. The advertisement is very misleading it says "Federal + State + Efile" If it says this way than they should not charge more money for state. I would advice please stay away from this gimmick unless you are prepared to pay more dollars for state tax filing. I would say this is a bad marketing strategy. Customer Rating: Summary: Great product, no problems downloading Comment: I have used Turbo Tax for many years, makes every thing so easy to account for. As far as problems with downloads, when you go to download the program instead of clicking on the "manage your downloads" button, try right clicking and selecting, 'open in a new window' (or tab). This circumvents the security issues that XP has with this type of download.
